USIF - United Society of Independent Filmmakers
Mission Statement
The United Society of Independent Filmamkers (USIF) was formed in 2009 with the mission of helping underprivileged young adults, who might otherwise not have a chance, learn the craft of filmmaking.
We will help them enrich their lives by learning the craft of storytelling, motion picture editing, sound design, visual effects, and business management
as it relates to the motion picture industry. Another part of our organization is dedicated to helping filmmakers realize their dreams by providing finishing
funds for projects which otherwise might not see the light of day. So many times you hear about films that were shot but did not make it through post-production
because of the lack of finishing funds. We will attempt to help those projects which we find have great social value and which give something back to the
community. All of our employees work as volunteers and give their time to help those who are still struggling. We believe that cinema enriches lives and have
formed this organization to further the cause of independence in film.
